First & Then 2.1

Originally designed by an Occupational Therapist, First & Then is a straightforward application featuring a photo board layout to illustrate the sequence of activities—a valuable resource for those who learn best visually.

The primary goal of utilizing a First & Then board is to encourage children to finish tasks they may not find appealing. The board serves as a motivational tool, prompting the child to participate in less preferred activities with the knowledge that a preferred task or reward will ensue. Whether it involves assignments like handwriting, homework, consuming vegetables, toileting, or scheduling a dentist visit as the 'first' activity, engaging in activities such as playing outdoors, computer usage, or enjoying a chocolate treat corresponds as the 'then' activity.

The application is user-friendly, with the board creation process taking place on a single page alongside clear instructions for seamless navigation.

Noteworthy features include the ability for users to promptly add photos from their device's camera or library, enabling the creation of 'First & Then' boards effortlessly and on-the-go. Captured images are stored within the app for convenient reuse.

Moreover, the app incorporates a color-coded visual timer that users can opt to activate. This timer illustrates the duration required for each activity through both a digital display and a graphical representation in the form of a color-changing pie chart. The green segment signals continuation, shifting to amber to indicate task completion readiness, and ultimately turning red upon activity cessation.

Additionally, it offers a 'Finished box' feature where children can drag and drop photos once tasks are accomplished.
